Babies For Sale

For more complete descriptions of the babies listed, see the babies pages of their birth month

NEW:  If you desire a particular goat that is not ready to leave yet (too young, too close to freshening, etc.) we do ask a 20% deposit to hold that goat and if you want any baby or babies to have their horns left on we ask a 50% deposit because if you change your mind too late, we then have to find a home for a goat with horns and that's not as easy in some cases.  Also, if you do want horns left on we need to know this before the goat(s) in question turn about 10 days old as that's when some of the boys need to be done (girls usually a week later).  For a first-time goat owner that will be milking their does and having small / young children in with the goats we recommend disbudding your goats and will do so as part of the purchase price.

Triplet doelings

Three black-with-white doelings, some moonspots already showing, dob 03/12/2009 by Tiny Colors SS Moonshadow out of Fiorito's Licorice, a doe with very soft udder skin, large orifices and easy-to-milk teats that point right into the pail!  These girls are darling and all seem to be very athletic, very well put-together already.  I'm going to wait a day or two before I make a decision on which of these has what attributes but so far they all seem to be very feminine and angular with very nice shoulders.   Update 05/11/09: First two doelings SOLD - one remaining doeling (pending deposit by interested party) available and starting to really develop her moonspots and sweet personality!

Sweet Boys (and a girl)

Wether born 04/29/2009 - tri-color, by Tiny Colors Take A Chance (Nigerian) out of Tiny Colors Rigby (sire Saanen dam Nubian) - this sweet single has some characteristics from each of his parents including the semi-roman nose and large ears from Mom and gorgeous color and medium-size potential from Dad.  This little guy has taken to following my kids around whenever they're in the pen and is looking for a home as a pet and companion (will be large enough to companion full-size down through Nigerian size breed goats).  He has been disbudded and will be up to date on vaccinations and worming and will also be castrated (banded) by the time he's ready to go to his new home at age 8 weeks.  His mother, Rigby, is also available for sale and they can leave sooner than 8 weeks if someone would like to buy them together and give him a chance to continue nursing until weaning age.
$125 or ask about a package price for this boy and his dam in milk.

Buck / Wether (Nigerian) born 05/07/09 - solid gold with just a bit of white on the head, by Tiny Colors Take A Chance out of Lost Valley KW Avalanche - every year I tell Avalanche I'd like at least one doeling and every year she gives me twin boys.  This year she changed it up a bit by giving me a single boy but what a boy!  Since Avalanche is such a nice doe I'm going to evaluate this one for a week or so to see if he's got buck written all over him or if he's destined to be somone's best friend.
Buck $275 / Wether $125 or ask for a package price with the buck / wether above or any of our other goats

Buck / Wether born 03/18/2009 - black with bits of white, some roaning and scant moonspots by Tiny Colors SS Moonshadow out of Cloverdale's IH Chocolate Drizzle - this boy is also a sweetie and going to be a nice blend of power and dairy in addition to the nice uphill topline and masculine facePhoto to follow.  Buck $300 / Wether $125 or ask for a package price with any other goat purchased here.

A Few Things To Know . . .

All our kids are dam-raised when possible but also introduced to a bottle "just in case".  All are handled several times a day and are exposed to horses, dogs, cats, chickens, turkey, guinea, peafowl and other livestock from birth.  Our babies are vaccinated against C/D&T (unless otherwise requested - we have NO problem not vaccinating per buyer's request) and are wormed before they leave here.  The babies are brought into the house and taken for car / truck rides both in the vehicle and also in dog crates so nothing will surprise or bother them.  Most if not all babies are also taught (or exposed) to walk on a lead rope and are all brushed, have hooves trimmed and are clipped (weather permitting) as part of educating them for their new homes.

We tattoo goats upon request but will also microchip (at buyer's expense).  We disbud our goats as early as possible to reduce / eliminate the possibility for scurs and we elastroband our wethers before they leave, if desired.  We almost NEVER sell bucks but if we do have a spectacular specimen we often wait until he's at least 4 weeks old to make that determination and try to get the opinion of several more experienced breeders before we commit to leaving him intact.  If you have any questions, feel free to call me or drop me an email.
