Tiny Colors Blue's Echo (pending) - dob 03/11/2008, by Take Heart Blueberry Wine out of Tiny Colors All American. This girl was a keeper from the moment I saw how much she looked like her sire in color AND conformation. She's long, dairy, sharp, uphill, all the things people rave about when they see her sire. She's ALSO a bit of a trickster (hehe) and likes to run in and untie your shoes and then DARE you to chase her without stopping to retie them. She is maturing nicely, going through that elegant deer stage one day and that awkward teenager stage the next but here's a baby picture of her so you get SOME idea:
she has since looked longer and a lot more active but she was only two weeks old in that picture. Today she's having a good hair day (7/21/08) ![]()
Tiny Colors Repeat After Me (pending) - dob 03/28/2008, by Take Heart Blueberry Wine (no surprise there!) out of Cloverdale IH Moulin Rouge (Promisedland Incredible Hunk *S x Twin Creeks MB Cabaret), whose sire Hunk is a son of ARMCH Twin Creeks LS Luck Of The Draw and MCH Gay-Mor's RA Nightowl 2*D. I have three Hunk daughters in my herd and love their udders all the way around; superior attachments, very smooth fore-udders and very high and round in the rear udder plus they give me a high-fat, very creamy milk that's still very easy to milk out of those soft teats with large orifices (see, told you that was a peeve of mine). When I saw this girl's conformation I knew I was going to keep her just to see if the udder she gets matches everything else I like about her. I also LOVE the wattles and am glad she's got them from her mother so I can tell her apart from Echo when they're both squirrelling around out there! ![]()
Tiny Colors SK Anabelle - dob 05/06/2007. This polled daughter of Take Heart Skedaddle (Goodwood KW Frasier x Foothill Ranch Feather Dancer) and Desertwinds Mirage (Copper Penny Piper x Covenant Kids Lady Minervia *D) is really what breeding does is all about for me. She is gorgeous, structurally correct and just needs a bit of time to grow out of that awkward teenager stage. We took her to one show last year, the Pahrump NV show and I was very gratified to receive so many positive comments from the people there about how she's developing. This doeling is long and level, looks like she'll have nice body capacity and if I can get her mom's udder under there she's going to be here the rest of her life! One thing that she has that surprised me is that "professional show doe" attitude; when we took her to her first show she was the usual misbehaving doeling until the moment we got into the show ring and then she figured out she could BE A STAR and just stood perfectly every time, didn't fight or fidget and by the end of the two days was almost begging to get back into the ring whenever possible. She also travels very well and is very laid back, change doesn't seem to ruffle her feathers at all so she will definitely be in our show string this year, going to the Norco, CA show on May 3rd and also the Pahrump show on the 11 - 13th of October. We are looking to breed her for late August or early September kids so she most likely will not be in any of the summer shows as I want her to enjoy her pregnancy without any stress or risk of infection. I haven't decided for sure which buck I'll choose for her but I'm leaning towards Desertwind SN Sand Storm for his dairy build and perfect personality.
Tiny Colors SS Paparazzi - dob 03/15/2007. This dainty little girl stole my heart with her dark beauty and her perfect show stance at only a few hours old. I know we should keep only the does that exemplify the best of the breed but I fell in love with her and she was here to stay. Fortunately for me (grin) she's ALSO a darn good representation of the breed, being both very dairy and sharp throughout AND very feminine without losing any of that width that her mother has in abundance. This doe is a true blend between her power mother Cloverdale IH Moulin Rouge, who is by Promisedland Incredible Hunk *S (ARMCH Twin Creeks LS Luck Of The Draw out of MCH Gay-Mor's RA Nightowl 2*D) out of Twin Creeks MB Cabaret (Twin Creeks PD Megabuck x Redbud Tango 3*D) and her nicely dairy sire, Desertwinds SN Sand Storm (MCH Desertwinds Stormin' Norman x Eby's Peach N Cream At Felicity. Pappi is a very showy girl, believing to her core that she is the most beautiful little girl to ever grace a goat herd and we look for her to mature with her mom's Hunk udder and her dad's great chest and dairy build. Pappi is a slow-growing girl like her daddy and will be bred in the Fall for January of 2009.
DC Miniatures NS Sasparilla - dob 03/12/2006. This very pretty (dark mahogany and black with blue eyes) girl captured my heart when I was purchasing PT (above) so when Dotty offered me the chance to buy her, I didn't hesitate. She is structurally very correct although I'd like to see a sharper top line, especially in the whithers. She is small but very proportional and I am interested to see what kind of udder she gives me; she's bred to Copper Penny Blue Frank for March babies. This doe is by Little Tot's Estate Night Shade (Kaapio Acres Red Hot Topic *S x Little Tot's Estate Ginkgo) and out of a nice little doe, DC Miniatures Splashy Sassy (Woodhaven Farms Latigo x Adams Funny Farm Oh So Sassy) and I am anxious to see her kids.
Vista's Royal Salute (Saanen) - dob 05/05/2007. This very pretty little doeling is taking her sweet time to mature and yet is already as large as does several months her senior! She is very feminine where her brother is very masculine and I like that I can tell from far away that she's a girly-girl. This girl is going to be shown (much thanks to Jessica A.!) as a jr. doe this Summer as I wanted to give her full time to mature, then in the late Summer will be bred to one of Carol Mann's great bucks for Spring 2009 kids. Her dam, Vista's R2D2, has a very nice udder and is still in full milk and will be milked through to next Fall for breeding. Her sire is Carol Mann's nice buck Old English Emperor and his female relatives figure prominantly in the Old English breeding program.
Tiny Colors Eleanor's Rigby - dob 04/08/2008, this Snubian is super-sweet, very laid-back like her parents and with Eleanor's outstanding udder (taken here an hour or so after morning milk-out but you get the idea)
and Rigby is such a people goat it's almost impossible to get a picture of her where she's not trying to give me kisses - she is Mommy's Girl, after all!
This girl MAY be offered for sale to a quiet family milking home along with her companion Fawn (below) but ONLY to a quiet family home, otherwise they can both stay here.
Tiny Colors Fawn - Saamancha, dob 04/07/2008, one of twins this little girl out of Emily by Harry was born first, was VERY healthy and active but seemed to have a little trouble convincing Mom to stop favoring her brother so this girl was bottle-supplemented from birth and is a very in-your-pocket girl. She and Rigby both have their sire's laid-back personality and nothing seems to ruffle their hair even the slightest bit. We're giving Fawn a year to grow and mature before breeding her for milk OR she MAY be offered for sale as a companion to Rigby (above) but only to a quiet family milking home. Her mother Emily has a fantastic udder and I'm sure Harry will pass along his mother's great udder as well. ![]()
