Tiny Colors Farm

Nigerian Dwarf Goats - Located in Ramona, California, in beautiful North San Diego County. Dairy, Companion, Brush-Clearing and Show Winners!

We generally don't keep too many Jr. does here as we have a milk-producing herd but of course every year there will be a few Jr. does that get to stick around for show season before going in to the breeding shed.  Watch this spot for our young girls we've chosen to keep.

Tiny Colors Blue's Echo (pending) - dob 03/11/2008, by Take Heart Blueberry Wine out of Tiny Colors All American.  This girl was a keeper from the moment I saw how much she looked like her sire in color AND conformation.  She's long, dairy, sharp, uphill, all the things people rave about when they see her sire.  She's ALSO a bit of a trickster (hehe) and likes to run in and untie your shoes and then DARE you to chase her without stopping to retie them.  She is maturing nicely, going through that elegant deer stage one day and that awkward teenager stage the next but here's a baby picture of her so you get SOME idea:    she has since looked longer and a lot more active but she was only two weeks old in that picture.  Today she's having a good hair day (7/21/08)

Tiny Colors Repeat After Me (pending) - dob 03/28/2008, by Take Heart Blueberry Wine (no surprise there!) out of Cloverdale IH Moulin Rouge (Promisedland Incredible Hunk *S x Twin Creeks MB Cabaret), whose sire Hunk is a son of ARMCH Twin Creeks LS Luck Of The Draw and MCH Gay-Mor's RA Nightowl 2*D.  I have three Hunk daughters in my herd and love their udders all the way around; superior attachments, very smooth fore-udders and very high and round in the rear udder plus they give me a high-fat, very creamy milk that's still very easy to milk out of those soft teats with large orifices (see, told you that was a peeve of mine).  When I saw this girl's conformation I knew I was going to keep her just to see if the udder she gets matches everything else I like about her.  I also LOVE the wattles and am glad she's got them from her mother so I can tell her apart from Echo when they're both squirrelling around out there!

Other Breed Jr. Does

Vista's Royal Salute (Saanen) - dob 05/05/2007.  This very pretty little doeling is taking her sweet time to mature and yet is already as large as does several months her senior!  She is very feminine where her brother is very masculine and I like that I can tell from far away that she's a girly-girl.  This girl is going to be shown (much thanks to Jessica A.!) as a jr. doe this Summer as I wanted to give her full time to mature, then in the late Summer will be bred to one of Carol Mann's great bucks for Spring 2010 kids.  Her dam, Vista's R2D2, has a very nice udder and is still in full milk and will be milked through to next Fall for breeding.  Her sire is Carol Mann's nice buck Old English Emperor and his female relatives figure prominantly in the Old English breeding program.
